brianlittrell @ : I was fresh to death with my Adidas on
I had a lot of things going on lately, I haven't updated because I just let myself get consumed by work and then by life. Avoiding this place and filing everything back in it's place. I was cruising on easy waters, letting myself experience things and feel things without thinking about it too much. But if it's one thing I've learned about my life is that the second I think everything is cool and that it's all going alright something will steer me off course. The company I had slipped away, there was no real reason things went silent and I just kept on moving. I doubted myself for a while like I always do, like humans usually do. Did I do something wrong, did they finally have enough of me. And I always say that people do get enough of me, these last few years I've kind of felt myself be a pretty temporary guy. Good for a little while and then you move on, and it isn't always the person I am with sometimes I cut ties to move on myself. And I'll get the lecture that I'm too hard on myself, that I gotta open those doors wider and let the sunshine and air in. Stop cutting myself off from possibilities but I've always had a hard time doing that. I sometimes get too attached too quickly and in the long run it'll lead to nothing good. Maybe, just maybe I expect too much for it all.
When the tour ended I fell straight into normal life. Spent some time in Atlanta, then came back to LA when duty called. Hit the studio with some of the fellas to talk about direction and see what kind of stuff we had coming our way. And even found time to take the family out to The Beverly Hills Chihuahua Premiere. Before I knew it though talks led to the idea of putting forth more dates for Canada mostly, to show them more love than we had originally because they have always stood by us. The crowds have been amazing and so before we know it we'll be back on the road again. The new dates start near the end of October, we even have a show on Halloween so that's going to be a pretty fun night all around. Maybe we'll hit up a haunted house so I can scare the hell out of Nick before the night is over. Since he's all about those ghost hunter guys.

My life has been anything but boring lately. It's been pretty interesting and there have been a few changes. A few moments where I wondered if I was dreaming, but I don't really know what to say about any of them. I have to admit I went into summer mourning, but the good thing about living in LA is that it's still damn hot! So I can enjoy that for a little while longer, because I still enjoy going for a swim and feeling the cool water on my skin. Laying under the sun, while your favorite tunes dance around in the air from a stereo near by. Going to play basketball at the local park, grabbing the skateboard and hitting up Leigh's place so we can take out Baylee for some adventures. I've loved going for long drives during the mid mornings or in the late afternoons on my days off. These days it's mostly by myself, I just drive until the sun comes down park somewhere to watch a sunset and clear my thoughts before making my way back home. It might sound silly to some people, but I love spending a few hours a week in my garden. There is just something calming about it all, and I'm pretty proud about how good it looks, because there is no nicer place to sit and enjoy some homemade lemonade and ice tea. My life is still the same, I sing, I hit the studio, I write songs (the don't put this on youtube line, never works!) and I make sure to see my son before I come back home at the end of the day and crash.
Things have been pretty good with the fellas, I mean we are excited about everything. We have fun around each other and we take every day like it's something new. We are all on the same path for the first time in many years. And even Kevin has joined us around these parts, which is pretty amazing if you ask me. I don't know, but sometimes when I look forward I get the feeling like 2009 is going to be a really great year for us. Whatever happens, whatever is waiting for us I know we'll tackle with clear minds, strong hearts and solid passion. When I'm with these guys I really feel like we are unbreakable now.
For all those who might be worried, we are still recording a new album. We are hoping to have some mainstream hits with this new venture. Let's just say we won a little support from our record company to stop trying to sell us as an AC act. One day we'll fill y'all in on all the industry crap you have to go through. We'll be hitting up the studio during our tour dates. So don't worry we are trying to put together a new album for early next year. To help with the end of summer, let me hook you up with a song that I've been feeling lately. By one Mr Wayne Brady, Back in the Day. Don't hate, enjoy!
